I got a request from another reader (Cori) to help her figure out what all of the abbrevations mean. Here are some of the most popular ones I use:
MQ-Manufacturers Coupon
OOP-Out of Pocket Expense
Q or CPN-Coupon
YMMV-Your Mileage May Vary (A deal may work for someone else, but may not for you.)
CAT-Catalina coupon (Manufacturer coupons that print out from a little machine at the register, triggered by what you buy.)
B1G1F, B2G1F-"Buy one get one Free", "Buy two get one Free"
TEAR PAD- A pad of refund forms or coupons hanging on a shelf at the store.
BLINKIE-A machine that spits out coupons.
UPC-Universal product code (those black straight lines with numbers under them)
GC-Gift Card
P&G-Proctor and Gamble
SS-Smart Source coupon insert
PG-Proctor and Gamble coupon insert
RP- Red Plum coupon insert
Peelies-sticker like coupons found on products.
RR- Register Reward (Walgreens)
Doubler: Only at Albertsons. Twice the value, double 1 MQ up to 1.00.
Example:
If it says 11/25 RP 1/1
That means in the Sunday Paper dated November 25th, 2009 in the Red Plum Insert there is a coupon for 1.00 off that one item. Of it is says 1/2 that means 1.00 off two of the listed products.
